1. Design
Every jacket starts with a reference file. It includes images, specifications, patch details and every small design detail we can find from the original character or celebrity look. A designer reviews and approves this file before anything else happens. Our designers then prepare the patterns the jacket is built from, in our full size range of XS to 4XL for men and women. For custom orders, we adjust the pattern to the measurements you send us.
How We Make Jackets At The Jackets City
Every jacket we make goes through five steps, the same careful process we have followed since 2013. It is how we keep each piece close to the original look and built to last for years.
2. Cutting
The approved pattern is placed on the material, and each piece is cut with care so the fabric or leather is not damaged and every panel matches the pattern. The lining is cut the same way. We work with full grain natural leather as well as wool, denim, cotton, nylon, polyester, fleece and shearling, depending on the jacket.
3. Assembly
Each jacket is put together by a single artisan from start to finish. Panels, sleeves, collar, cuffs, pockets, buttons and YKK zippers are added to match the design, and the lining is fitted inside. With one artisan responsible for the whole piece, every seam and stitch gets the same attention.
4. Molding and Pressing
Once assembled, the jacket is pressed and shaped so it sits properly and holds its form. Collars, cuffs and hems get final attention so the finish looks clean and feels comfortable to wear.
5. Final Inspection
Before any jacket leaves our workshop, it goes through a quality check. We look closely at the stitching, zippers, buttons, lining and overall finish. Only jackets that pass are packed and shipped to you.
